A Natural Approach is The Best For Your Health

A natural approach to a diabetic meal plan can help reverse type ii diabetes. When you replace sugars/carbohydrates with healthy foods that don't raise blood sugar, you can return to a more healthy, normal life.

Many borderline and type ii diabetics think they can eat whatever they want until they have to take insulin by injection and then, they have no choice but to modify their diet or suffer the consequences of wild sugar level fluctuations, which drags the health ever lower and causing more acute, physical problems.

But, borderline and type ii diabetics can reverse their symptoms with some determination and an open mind and thereby avoid being type i diabetic and the regular injections that go with it.

Following is an example of a breakfast that is considered average, but actually, would be a horrible diabetic meal plan.

A breakfast of pancakes with sryup, sausages, a glass of juice and a piece of toast and coffee.

Most people eat the refined flour version of toast and pancakes (white flour). Whole grain pancakes will also spike your blood sugar, though they at least have ingredients that can nourish your body.

Toast and maybe with jam -- same story -- higher blood sugar level even if whole grain toast, although the whole grain is much better for you.

Syrup on the pancakes, probably made mostly of sugar since few use pure sweeteners such as pure maple sugar. Maple sugar is better for you because it contains some healthy ingredients but again, either one will spike your blood sugar.

A glass of fruit juice, if not fresh squeezed will also spike your blood sugar since most juices are made from concentrate and are mostly sugar, although the sugar is natural if no sugar has been added.

Also, sausages and all other prepared meats contain chemicals for taste, color and preservation purposes. Most prepared meats contain nitrites which have been strongly linked to cancer.

Wow -- what a diabetic meal plan. And that's just breakfast. The rest of the day for many people also contains more carbohydrate focused meals and snacks.

Many people are so hooked on their sugar fix, they can't break the habit and that's why there is an obesity/diabetic epidemic in North America.

The first step is to change your breakfast habits, and then work on the rest.

Eat some fresh veggies or better yet, juice them since this is concentrated, natural nutrition. If you need some sweetness, add some raw apple, etc.

Also, make sure you add some sort of superfood such as spirulina since such a concentrated food can provide you better nutrition to help maintain and rebuild your body. One amazing superfood is Jon Barron's Private Reserve Superfood, which has been carefully researched and formulated to give the human body almost everything it needs for proper nutrition. A powerful combination used by professional athletes and Olympians that helps to ensure maximum nutrition with easy absorption, which cuts down on the body energy required for digestion and processing of foods.

That is why you feel tired after a big meal - it takes a lot of body energy to digest the meals the average American eats.

You need some superfoods in your diet because blood sugar problems means your body isn't absorbing nutrition as it should so you will be short of important nutrients.

A concentrated superfood is an important aspect of any diabetic meal plan because with super nutriton, you can help reduce cravings. Cravings are your body's way of telling you it is hungry for good nutrition, but feeding it the wrong foods begins a craving cycle that is never satisfied because the wrong foods don't nourish your body enough to get rid of the cravings. You are giving your body a fix but not nourishing it properly.

One very important aspect of your diabetic meal plan should be herbs to help heal your digestive system and also, help control sugar absorption in your digestive system.

Natural Products That Are Excellent for Helping You Control Blood Sugar Levels

The herbs in Glucotor can help control sugar absoption and is the only product of its kind -- and it's all natural.

Also, use sweeteners such as stevia or agave nectar that raise blood sugar levels little or not at all. You can also get these at a health food market.

Eliminate all other artificial sweeteners, refined, processed grain products, processed meats, saturated animal fats and you can reverse type ii diabetes.

Give your sense of taste a chance to change and after awhile, many processed foods will seem too sweet and you will prefer natural sweetness such as raw, organic apples.

Remember, the most important part of any diabetic meal plan should be too change over to foods that don't spike your blood sugar levels.

You will not likely be able to make all the necessary changes at once, but start with breakfast and you will notice a difference, then slowly start changing the rest of your daily diet.

Also, a list of foods for a diabetic to eat should contain healthy oils. The average oil in the supermarket has chemical residues and because these oils are processed with high heat, they are dead foods -- very hard for the body to process and no nutritional value. Use unrefined, virgin cocnut oil for heating purpose since it retains its healthy properties even after normal cooking temperatures.

A diabetic diet plan should contain unrefined, cold pressed oils for snacks and salads such as olive oil and flax oil which are very healthy. Although better than refined oil, however, these oils also are not so healthy when heated for cooking, although better than the average supermarket oils.

Remember also, that recent research shows that excess insulin due to improper diet is a major cause of aging, even if you don't become diabetic.

Remember as well, that you must take your health into your own hands a certain amount to discover the truth, since a diabetic meal plan recommended by the medical profession will not completely solve your blood sugar problems -- only help to control them to a certain degree. Their business is focused on dealing with symptoms and not curing them.
