Diverticulitis SymptomsDiverticulitis symptoms are a sign that digestion has not been good for a while. Diverticulosis refers to bulging pouches in the colon. These pouches are a result of the muscles in the colon getting strained from trying to push along feces that is too dry and hard. These pouches may also fill with dried, encrusted fecal matter making infection (diverticulitis) and diverticulitis symptoms more likely since these pockets are full of harmful bacteria. Diverticulitis is when someone with diverticulosis (bulges) gets an infection or inflammation in these pouches, resulting in diverticulitis symptoms. The best answer to avoiding diverticulitis and healing diverticulosis is a healthy high fiber diet. However, when a person ends up with diverticulosis and/or diverticulitis the body may need special help from nature to heal completely. Diverticulitis is Caused by Diet. The best answer to this is to use natural, concentrated herbal products that help to heal the colon as well as help improve colon function by moving matter more efficiently through the colon, since people with colon problems are usually constipated to some degree although some end up with the other extreme - diarrhea. The medical profession's answer to these problems is antibiotics, surgery and maybe even colostomy, which is a bag to collect feces, attached through a hole in your abdominal wall - not a very appealing thought for most of us. The answer is to take your health into your own hands and realize that it takes a healthy diet to build and maintain a healthy body. Most people with diverticulosis do not have any symptoms that they would call obvious although they have likely been constipated to some degree, but the problem wasn't serious enough to get their attention. If they do have symptoms, they are usually cramps, pain, bloating and constipation. Due to the average modern diet, most people are constipated to some degree but don't realize it because that's the way things have always worked for them, so they don't know that things should be working much better. Since diverticulitis is infection in the colon, diverticulitis symptoms are more noticeable to most people than diverticulosis symptoms. The most common of diverticulitis symptoms is abdominal pain and others are cramping, nausea, vomiting, chills, fever and changes in bowel habits. This can also lead to diverticulitis symptoms such as bleeding and perforations of the colon, leading to blockage of the colon and this is where surgery enters the picture. If infection is untreated, an abscess in the colon may result. Diverticulitis was first noticed in the US in the early 1900s when many processed, low fiber foods were becoming commonplace and natural fiber has been shown to help improve those with colon problems. Diverticulitis Is Only A Problem In Industrialized CountriesDiverticulitis is common in industrialized countries but unknown in primitive peoples who eat a healthy, natural diet high in fiber. Fiber is a natural part of fruits, vegetables and grains and helps to pass material more efficiently through the digestive system and the best way to get fiber is thru raw foods. So, if you have diverticulitis or any other digestive and/or colon problems, your body is telling you something and it is NOT telling you to have surgery or take drugs. You want to treat the cause of the problem, not just deal with symptoms. Surgery and drugs only treat symptoms and don't cure the problem. You only need some simple information on what is good for your digestive system and some good herbal products to help heal your digestive system and when you see the change in your body, you will realize that you can treat your diverticulitis symptoms and many other digestive problems the way nature intended. Since a huge part of our immune system is created by our digestive system, repairing your digestive system will automatically help you to avoid other "bugs" and sickness, since most common sicknesses such as flu, start in the mucus lining of the digestive system.
The picture to the left is an actual X-Ray of a person's large intestine, showing the bulges that occur over time from poor diet. This is diverticulosis and when these bulges become infected, the condition is called diverticulitis. Diverticulosis is actually a very common condition in industrialized countries due to high consumption of low fiber foods that are low in nutrition and full of chemical preservatives and colorings. Gently cleansing and healing the mucosal layer in the colon can improve this condition quickly and dramatically, giving a person a much higher level of energy and health and helping to avoid diverticulitis symptoms. |
